Running a site is a lot more work than it looks! Anyone who has a site knows that. Before starting a site
make sure you want to do it, that you will like doing it, otherwise it's just a chore and people DONT
want to see a site that always threatens to delete consistantly.
Picking a name is important. Don't pick a name everyone has. Pick something that might stand out!
Random words, adjectives, little sayings, those usually are the best. Also, try and make sure no one
else has your site name that you picked.
Let's all be honest here, most sites will not really respect you as a site owner untill you have 3k
maybe even atleast 4 or 5k. Time and talent gets you friends.
Don't make other sites mad and annoy them, especially when your starting out. Be nice and
respectful to everyone. Don't ask them "omg will you make THIS THIS AND THIS for me?" Use
their requests if they have those. Part of owning a site is figuring things out on your own!
Have a standout SOMETHING. Make your default picture attractive to draw attention to it. Have a
good support code, that's what draw people in.
Have a lot to offer. People like to have options, give them some!
No site is perfect. Get over that idea that your site will be MYSPACE WORLD POPULAR because not
EVERYONE is going to love your site.
Deal with jockers/haters respectively as possible. I understand if you wanna let 'em have it if they
steal all your stuff, but if they just took off credit simply REMIND them to put it back on. If they
don't, hell could get lose :p
Don't ask sites "I only have .__k will you help me get more friends" don't make it seem like
your desprite for friends. It gets annoying most of the time.
If you act all that like you know everything and your the best site, most likely
other sites will get annoyed by it.
